IPO deal profile methodology

How ipo.zone separates sourced deal evidence, incomplete document profiles and unavailable performance data.

Evidence before indicators

A deal page is a dated evidence record, not a judgement about an investment. The tracker and deal pages use the same approved filing records and reviewed directory entries. A directory label alone does not establish that a transaction exists or has completed. Entries without the required provenance are identified as unverified.

A published factual field needs an official or issuer source and the collector's actual retrieval timestamp. News links and records without that timestamp remain discovery references; their deal terms are not promoted into verified facts. We do not invent a retrieval time from a file's modification date. A later expected trading date does not automatically become an actual first session.

Each available field links to its evidence. Missing or disputed evidence appears as no official data, with a reason. A preliminary amount is labelled proposed and is never silently substituted for a final price. Native currencies and security units remain distinct. A route's frozen year identifies the directory entry; it is not a confirmed listing-year observation.

Deal profile: separate descriptive pillars

Deal structure would describe the issuer/seller allocation, base offered fraction, pricing revisions, native-currency base proceeds, book-value dilution and stated uses. Without verified capital denominators or a clear primary/secondary split, the pillar remains incomplete. A price or share count in Key facts does not make the full pillar complete.

Fundamentals would use comparable audited annual periods for revenue growth, reported operating margin and debt including leases relative to assets. Interim figures, forecasts and adjusted earnings do not fill a missing audited input. Ordinary operating-company ratios are not assigned to an uncombined acquisition shell.

Governance and alignment would describe voting concentration, scoped lock-ups, backing, related-party disclosures and document risk navigation. A lock-up needs its holder coverage, start rule, early-release conditions and waivers; a single term is not a promise that all shares remain restricted. Silence does not establish an absence of transactions or risks.

Market conditions is a separate context panel. It requires cleared official benchmark inputs and a fixed pre-listing cutoff. We do not derive market momentum from prospectus language or a small curated deal list.

No pillar receives a combined investment rating. Verified partial rows can appear below an incomplete-pillar notice; missing coordinates are not reweighted or filled with peer averages. More concentrated voting or more primary capital is a descriptor, not a reward or penalty.

Limited model-assisted extraction

For approved SEC records with a cached prospectus excerpt, independent inexpensive model families read the same text. A candidate must agree across both outputs, have literal source evidence, retain a collector-assigned location, and pass contextual review. The build rechecks the reviewed output against the original document hash and quotes. Failed, missing and disagreed outputs are not published as facts.

The present cache contains cover/summary excerpts, not verified complete prospectuses. Locations therefore identify cached excerpt character offsets, not invented printed page numbers. Displayed quotations are short navigational evidence; documents remain on the official host. Whole-section risk counts, full financial ratios and complete ownership profiles are unavailable from this limited input.

Performance report: a separate object

The performance methodology governs the later return and financial-change report. Its scheduled-session horizons are product configuration, not observations about a particular issuer. Offer-based price returns are kept apart from first-close aftermarket paths; CAR and BHAR do not include the allocation-price move.

Until the necessary prices, calendar, actions, comparable annual reports and public-display permissions are verified, the panel shows no official data. An unreached horizon is not a zero return. Later outcomes do not rewrite an earlier document profile.

Corrections and release limits

Use Report an error on a deal page to request a review. Reports do not automatically change terms or create official evidence. Future corrections should preserve the earlier source record and explain the replacement.

This is a factual educational release, not the launch of the draft's proposed numerical scores or predictive research. Rights and jurisdiction-specific legal review remain prerequisites for expanding those features. Not investment advice. No forecast, personalised assessment, broker action or buy/sell signal is provided.
